Wyebank Water
The Wyebank fishery at Lybrook on Wye is a lovely short single bank stretch. As the photographs show it is a beautifully situated water of shallows and pools, backed with glorious views.
For the game fisherman it provides an excellent opportunity for fly fishing. Whether for Salmon, Sea Trout or Trout, there is always a chance of catching a good fish. Salmon have been taken in recent years to over 20lbs, Trout to 3 and 4 lbs and Sea Trout are occasionally caught to several pounds or more.
For the coarse fisherman there is superb Barbel fishing, which in the faster water provide a great challenge particularly when handling a double figure fish. The Chub fishing can also be excellent and there are opportunities for large bags of beautifully conditioned Dace. Grayling are now also sometimes caught. Whether trotting, bottom fishing or fly fishing the coarse fishing here is full of promise and expectation.
